Anyone can search Near Fine, on the site or from an AI assistant, without an account. Sign in and you can set alerts too: Near Fine keeps looking for a book and emails you when it turns up. Five alerts are free, and Plus and Pro keep more going and check them more often.

Questions

What does an alert do?

Choose Alert me on a search, and Near Fine keeps looking for six months. It emails you once, when a new listing turns up with everything the search asks for, such as a first edition or a price cap. A week before an alert ends, we ask whether to keep it going.

How often are alerts checked?

Each alert is checked once a day on Free, every 6 hours on Plus and hourly on Pro, starting as soon as you set it. eBay is checked every 6 hours at most on every plan, until eBay lets us ask it more often.

Can my assistant set alerts?

Yes. Once you sign in from Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant connected to Near Fine, it can set, list and cancel your alerts. They count toward your plan like any other.

Can I change or cancel?

Whenever you like, from your account. A plan you cancel runs to the end of the month or year you paid for. Then alerts beyond five are paused rather than deleted, and a new plan starts them again. Moving up charges the difference straight away, and moving down leaves a credit.

Can I get my money back?

If you live in the EU or the UK and buy as a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days of buying a plan, without giving a reason. As your plan starts straight away, you get back what you paid, less the days you had it. Write to [email protected].

Is VAT included?

Yes. Prices are in pounds, euros, or US, Canadian or Australian dollars if one of those is yours, and in euros elsewhere. A year costs ten months. Stripe takes the payment.
