One cookie, if you sign in

Searching Near Fine sets no cookies. Signing in to set alerts sets one, which keeps you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

Holds: A signed number naming your session, and nothing else
Lasts: Until you sign out or delete your account
Kept safe: Scripts can’t read it, and other sites can’t send it along with their forms

How your country is found

A search covers the booksellers that ship to you and shows prices in your currency, so it needs your country. Cloudflare, which serves Near Fine, looks up the country of your IP address with each request and passes it on. Near Fine reads it for that page and keeps nothing. If Cloudflare can’t tell, your browser’s language decides.

To search as if you were somewhere else, add ?country= and a two-letter code to a search address, for example nearfine.com/search?q=9780141439518&country=GB.
